Aluminium 5083 Channels are mainly made up of aluminium (around 93.5%), along with alloying elements like magnesium (4.0%–4.5%) and manganese (0.4%–1.0%). This alloy is celebrated for its remarkable corrosion resistance, particularly in marine settings, and its excellent weldability. The mechanical properties of Aluminium 5083 include a tensile strength ranging from 275 to 350 MPa and a yield strength of about 125 MPa. It also features a good elongation rate (12–15%) and outstanding fatigue strength. While it can’t be heat treated, Aluminium 5083 is incredibly durable, making it perfect for structural, marine, and high-stress applications.
