Nasir Aluminium, based in Kuala lumpur, Malaysia, is a renowned manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium 7050 Sheets and Plates. Known for their exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to stress corrosion cracking, our Aluminium 7050 products are widely used in aerospace, military, and high-performance engineering applications. With a focus on precision and quality, we deliver high-performance sheets and plates that meet the most demanding standards. At Nasir Aluminium, we are committed to providing reliable, durable solutions tailored to the needs of our customers.
Aluminium 7050 is an aerospace-grade alloy primarily composed of aluminium, zinc (6.2-6.9%), magnesium (2.0-2.6%), and copper (1.2-2.0%). It also contains traces of other elements such as chromium and zirconium. The alloy is known for its excellent strength, particularly in high-stress environments, with tensile strength ranging from 503 to 572 MPa. It offers outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking, particularly in elevated temperatures. Aluminium 7050 also has good fatigue resistance, making it ideal for applications requiring high strength-to-weight ratios, such as aerospace structures and military components.

Aluminium 7050 includes zinc (5.7–6.7%), magnesium (1.9–2.6%), copper (2.0–2.6%), and trace zirconium, iron, and silicon. This composition provides tensile strength of 510–572 MPa and yield strength of approximately 455 MPa, hardness of 150–160 HB. The alloy has high fracture toughness and stress corrosion cracking resistance. It is heat-treatable, with T7651 and T7451 tempers being typical for aerospace applications. Aluminium 7050 has moderate thermal conductivity and good machinability and finds application in critical structural applications where the strength-to-weight ratio is critical.
