Aluminium 1070 is approximately 99.7% aluminium with small additions of iron, silicon, copper, manganese, and zinc. It possesses a tensile strength of 60–95 MPa, yield strength of approximately 20–30 MPa, and elongation of 20–35%. Brinell hardness is approximately 27 HB. It is a non-heat-treatable alloy with excellent corrosion resistance, high reflectance, and excellent thermal as well as electrical conductivity. It can be easily shaped, bent, and welded and is therefore versatile to various processes of fabrication.
