Aluminium 1050 hex bars are composed primarily of 99.5% aluminium with small amounts of impurities like iron (0.4%), silicon (0.25%), copper (0.05%), and traces of other elements. These bars exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, high thermal and electrical conductivity, and good formability. Their mechanical properties include a tensile strength of approximately 85 MPa, a yield strength of around 45 MPa, and an elongation of about 30%. The low strength makes them suitable for applications requiring lightweight and corrosion-resistant materials, such as chemical equipment and electrical components.
