Aluminium 1050 has 99.5% aluminium with residual iron, silicon, copper, manganese, and zinc. It provides tensile strength of 60–100 MPa, yield strength of approximately 20–30 MPa, and elongation of 20–35%. Brinell hardness is around 27 HB. The alloy possesses good corrosion resistance, high thermal conductivity of approximately 222 W/m·K, and superior workability. Non-heat-treatable, it is strengthened by cold working and thus is easy to form, bend, and weld while preserving a smooth surface finish.
